Microchanneling Pre-Care instructions
.1. If you have frequent episodes of cold sores, taking acyclovir or valcyclovir starting one day prior to your micro-channeling will reduce the likelihood of a recurrence due to your treatment.
2. If your liver, kidneys and immune system are healthy, taking an NSAID such as Ibuprofen 1-2hrs before treatment may reduce your discomfort. (Recommended dose 1000mg acetaminophen or 600mg ibuprofen)
3. If possible, please arrive without makeup on, and with a clean face.
What to expect day of:
Arrive with a clean, makeup free face
An optional facial numbing cream will be applied prior to treatment (takes approx. 15-20 min to take effect)
Micro-channeling treatment will take approximately 20-30 min long for face only, additional time for neck and chest
Mild redness, swelling, and tenderness is to be expected (like a mild sunburn); duration dependent on needle length. For 0.25mm-0.5mm, up to 24hrs. 1mm, up to 72hrs
You will receive post care instructions and recommendations for optimal skin care after treatment.
